Joanna Gillespie, Principal

Joanna's upbringing in Buffalo and San Francisco, surrounded by entrepreneurs, craftspeople, DIY home renovators, and artists, shaped both her work ethic and personal aesthetic. Her career began in artist management, where she developed exceptional project and business management skills, with a sharp eye for detail and thoughtful execution.

With an MA in Art History focused on architectural and design history, Joanna spent a decade as a private art collection consultant, managing over 50 million in fine art assets. In 2015, after frequently working at the intersection of art management, residential design, and property asset protection, Joanna shifted her focus to residential design and construction management. Her experience collaborating with artists and tradespeople enriched her understanding of craftsmanship and design.

While growing Fox Den Projects as a side business, Joanna also served as Studio Manager for a noteworthy interior design firm for four years, deepening her industry knowledge while refining internal systems, design management, and construction oversight.

Today, Fox Den Projects is Joanna's full-time endeavor, where she continues to combine her passion for design, project management, and preserving the value of her clients' homes.
